Twas the week before Christmas, excitement in the air,
A last-minute remodel, no time to spare.
Tools scattered about, paint cans in a row,
The laundry and bathroom, now ready to glow.

Scheduled for Fall, the plan was in place,
But delays intervened, changing the project’s pace.
Now December arrived, with a holiday cheer,
A remodel unplanned, but we persevere.
Hammering and sawing, a rhythmic beat,
Tiles to lay, oh, what a feat.
With visions of completion, in my head so clear,
Hoping for cheer, as the holiday draws near.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
With a little drywall dust in the holiday air.
But the humming of power tools is a festive song,
And we are making the best of it, as we move along.

As Christmas approaches, the project is taking shape,
Despite the tools in the kitchen and the laundry room agape.
So here’s to the mess and the holiday stress,
And a new year filled with home updates, health, love, and happiness!
Happy holidays and I hope you have a wonderful new year!
